WW2 German War Merit Cross without Swords

A very good example of this 2nd class medal, awarded without swords to noncombatants and civilians for meritorious service in aid of the war effort. It is marked on the suspender ring with No 52 for Gottlieb and Wagner of Idar-Oberstein, a town in the Birkenfeld district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. This one comes in excellent original condition and comes on a short piece of original ribbon.
