2 Red Cross Messages from Jersey.
Here is a very interesting insight into the life of those living on Jersey under German occupation.
During World War II, the Red Cross played a vital role in communication between people in Jersey under German occupation and those in England and other countries. The Red Cross Message Scheme allowed civilians to send and receive brief messages, typically 25 words or less, through special forms. These messages, censored by both sides, provided a lifeline for families separated by the war.
The message from Jersey typed under authority and sent to an address in Southampton England with the return message on the back. they include both German and British censor and date stamps. Also comes with an original envelope.
