WW1 Era American WRC Medals & Photos to Nurse Boyle.

A rare opportunity to obtain a lot to an American volunteer nurse of the First world war. Mary M Boyle was born in Johns Town Pennsylvania in 1899. At the time the great war was in full swing, she was living in New York City.
She obviously enrolled in the Women’s Relief Corps before taking a position as Nurse at Camp McCellan Alabama in June 1918 and then to No1 General hospital Williams Bridge, New York in March 1919. Included here are her original orders to report to the No1 General Hospital and 2 original Woman’s Relief Corps Medals including the Grand Army of the Republic 56th National Encampment 1922 medal. But what is exciting, her medals are accompanied by a quantity of original photographs showing her in her nurse’s uniform, family pictures of what is believed to be her brother in Merchant naval uniform and perhaps her sweetheart, a Ray Watkins of the American 153 Aero Squad.
All items are in very good condition with signs of age, one of the medals original silk ribbon is broken but still present.
A fantastic lot for research and an unusual addition to any women’s award collection.
