WW2 Era German DRK Medic Bag Sanitatslager Babelsberg
An interesting WW2 German medics leather bag with contents, some people are listing these as Red Cross issue but as there are no relevant marks I cant list it as similar, it is however well marked on the leather on the back side with D.R.K. Sanitatslager Babelsberg with possibly 6 or 61 over the top, it also has printed in blue on the inside ‘Winterbach’ with a hand written N” under, these were used by German medics pre WW2 and during the conflict. It comes with some contents which include a shaving brush, razor with packets of blades, a strop, an aluminium tube labelled ‘Lavendel Amoniak – Tupfer, this was an ammonia liquid to be used as a swab or wipe, this still contains its glass phial, also a small tin of sugar with a remaining packaged block of sugar. The bag comes in very good condition for its age and shows minor signs of use, it measures 8.25 inches long and has its original straps.
