1912 Cavalry Officers Sword by Wilkinson.

A superb example of the 1912 pattern Cavalry Officers sword, with decorative nickel-plated steel bowl guard, ray skin grip with twisted silver wire and a heavy pommel with engraved decoration, also nickel plated. It has a long fullered straight blade with beautiful etched decoration including King George V cypher, and it has the makers mark of Henry Wilkinson Pall Mall London on one side and the proof button on the other. On the back of the blade, it has the number 50155 which dates it between 1914 and 1917. It comes with its original dress nickel plated steel scabbard and original sword knot.
Although this sword is totally untouched, it comes in remarkable condition and unpolished and if desired it will clean up, I’m sure to near mint condition. The scabbard has a few marks and signs of use and the whole sword measures 44.5 inches long.
