1914/15 Star Trio to Mower Royal Navy Sick Birth. Died 1918.
1914/15 star, British War and Victory medal correctly named to 360442 William Harry Mower Sick Birth Steward Royal Navy. 
William Mower was born in Norwich Norfolk on 10th December 1884 to William and Charlotte of Heigham, Norwich. In his younger years he was employed as Insurance Clerk in Norwich.
He enlisted into the Royal Navy in 1902 and qualified as a Sick birth attendant a year later. He served on numerus ships, shore-based establishments and RN hospitals and was promoted to Steward 2nd class in 1907 and 1st class in 1911, the equivalent as a Petty officer. He was awarded many certificates, and his service was mostly deemed as exemplary aiding the sick and wounded of the Royal Navy during the war. He succumbed himself to Tuberculosis in 1918 and dying of the disease at HMS Pembroke on 10th December. He was returned home to Norwich for burial. He is now remembered with honour at the Norwich Cemetery.
His medals are in excellent original condition and come on their original ribbons. they come with copies of his service papers, census info and commonwealth war graves certificate.
I have not attempted to recount this man’s service, it is extensive, sixteen years of devoted service to the Royal Navy, I will leave this to the next guardian of his medals. He is also entitled to the Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct (sick birth) Medal and the WW1 memorial plaque.
