Rare Vietnam Forces Embroidered Pennant.
A large cloth pennant with embroidered decoration for the South Vietnam Forces made to celebrate the victory at Cu Chi 1968. A terrible year in the conflict around Cu Chi, the Củ Chi tunnels were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War, and were the Viet Cong's base of operations for the Tet Offensive in 1968. The US and allies tried desperately to flush the Viet Cong out of the 75 miles of tunnels, but with little success helping to prolong the war and increase US costs and casualties.
This pennant is in very good condition; the field is a little faded, there is a few small tags to the silk embroidery and a small worn hole towards the bottom . It measures 34 x 35 inches.
