A mid-20th century reissue of the 17th Century plates hung on buildings to show the firemen that the building has insurance and that they would get paid for fighting the fire. Victorian 34th (Cumberland) Regiment of Foot Glengarry Badge.

A lovely Victorian all brass glengarry badge of the 34th regiment of foot, the Cumberland regiment. The 1st pattern badge with ‘Pyrenees’ heads the battle honours issued from 1874 to 1881 when it became part of the Border regiment.
This badge is beautiful it has some wear to the high points due to polishing but now with a nice even dark tone.
