Late WW2 US M1 Helmet.
The late WW2 M1 helmet shell with swivel bale and rear seam, over painted probably for Korean war era use. The applied textured finish has a large section on the top of the helmet missing. It has the typical fibre liner with webbing liner straps and leather sweatband. Later part nylon / webbing chin strap. Edwardian Officers Silk Waist Sash Belt
Officer’s waist sash belt made of red leather covered with crimson silk with brass buckle. It has the elaborate makers mark in gold for Edward Smith of 5 Boyle Street, London dating from 1905 to around 1920. Beautiful quality and in good condition with signs of use and wear, wear cause by the sword.
