A scarce vintage brass and coloured enamels pin badge for the 63rd field artillery battalion, bears the motto ‘hanau ia no ke kaua’ which translates from the Hawaiian as ‘ born for war’. No makers mark but these badges were considered to have been made in Japan for post war occupation. This example comes in very good condition and measures just over one inch long.  read more
