Unusual Large Body Whistle

To be honest I have not been able to find a comparison for this style of whistle, it has a large mouthpiece with the vent being high on the body, you would expect it to make a deep sound but in fact it is still quite shrill, the body is made from nickle plated brass and it has an applied ring for hanging, it measures approx. 2.5 inches long and has signs of age and use.  read more

European style Asian brass cricket box, made to house pet or fighting crickets. This dates far back in Chinese and some Asian cultures. In late summer and autumn, mature male crickets were collected and traded in major cities.

French 1866 Pattern Label Bayonet.

A superb example of the 1866 pattern cruciform blade sword bayonet made for use on the 8mm M1886 Lebel rifle, used through the first world war and after. It has a solid nickel grip with steel locking catch and hook quillon. This one is in superb original condition with various impressed numbers and proof marks.
