To be honest I have not been able to find a comparison for this style of whistle, it has a large mouthpiece with the vent being high on the body, you would expect it to make a deep sound but in fact it is still quite shrill, the body is made from nickle plated brass and it has an applied ring for hanging, it measures approx. 2.5 inches long and has signs of age and use.  read more

It has a solid nickel grip with steel locking catch and hook quillon. This one is in superb original condition with various impressed numbers and proof marks.
