A German memorial card for Ludwig Wagner a foreman bricklayer from Sandthal. Bugler with the 2nd P.J Regiment, 6th company. He was killed on 17th October 1914 in the Battle near Sablaye, close to Nisankowis at the age of 35. He met a hero’s death for the fatherland. With photograph wearing a Jäger uniform. German memorial card for Private first-class Bernhard Mohr of the Queen Elizabeths Guard Grenadier Regiment. On April 7th 1918 he died a hero’s death as a result of severe wounds in a field hospital at the age of 20. He was the recipient if the iron cross 2nd class. He followed his brother Joseph who had already died in September 1914.
